One of Ni‎geria's top celebrated beauty queen turns plus one today, the 11th of February 2015. Queen Irene Onwuka who won Miss Ambassador for Peace Nigeria in 2013 has taken her title and pageantry to a different level ever since her win.

The young articulate and soft-spoken paragon of beauty ‎is also a writer and the author of "Young Emeralds".

She has covered and inaugurated several Pet projects and has indeed, carved a niche for herself in the industry today.  
She was also awarded United Nations Ambassador in 2014.
This day marks a special day for her as the pretty model turned beauty queen is set to make it memorable for herself.

CALAMITY! Wife of Bayelsa State Secretary General and 19 other Women burnt to Ashes

SAD NEWS:

The wife of the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Mrs Elizabeth Edmund Oguru, is among the women who died on Saturday  night after a visit to the First Lady, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan.

The accident occurred in Ahoada on the East-West Road in Rivers State.

Others who died included Mrs Consider Amadi, a former Woman Leader in Ogbia;

Mrs Clara Abila,  a grassroots politician;

Mrs  Immaculate Amasimua, a former Commissioner in the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission;

Mrs Zimbra Goma, a former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Bayelsa State; and Hon. Ruby Benjamin, a former member of the House of Assembly representing Brass Constituency 1 of Bayelsa State.

Meanwhile, a Government House statement says, all official engagements of the Governor have been suspended for three days as a mark of honour and respect for the souls of the departed women.
